We are at 745 W. Johnson Street, in the Glenwood South district, a few minutes from downtown Raleigh. The building holds the whole operation — the shopfloor, the fitting rooms, the pattern table and the workroom behind it. Nothing is sent out.

That matters more than it sounds. When a jacket needs a quarter-inch off the left shoulder because you carry it lower than the right, the person who decides that and the person who does it are in the same room, and often the same person.

Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 to 5. Closed Sunday and Monday. We are 90% appointment-preferred; walk-ins are accepted occasionally, when we are free and the work suits our expertise. A fitting that gets rushed is a fitting that gets done twice.

If you are coming for a bespoke commission, allow forty-five minutes. Most of that is conversation rather than measurement.

Every service the house offers runs out of this address: bespoke commissions from a pattern drafted for one body, bridal gown alterations, groom and groomsmen suiting, image consulting and wardrobe audits, and alterations on garments from any house — including Brioni, Canali, Tom Ford, Kiton, Isaia, Zegna, Armani and Hugo Boss.

We also maintain what we make, for as long as it is worn.
