For starters, we're excited to have you as a client or potential client. Either way we're taking you on a journey and plan to be your new alterations/tailoring choice; let's get started, shall we? A small bit about the founder:
I'm a native Raleighite and a sucker for custom or bespoke tailoring. I've spent the last 10 years experiencing Raleigh's alterations shop experience and one day I decided that outside of the great work-it was lukewarm. From that day, I thought that the experience I was accustomed to delivering at a high-end Seattle-based retailer was needed in Raleigh's tailoring/alterations scene.
Glenwood South Tailors + Alterations, Downtown Raleigh was born.
Let's take it back...
Back in the '90s, when my grandma and I visited stores like Briggs Hardware or Revco, she lit up when the shopkeeper remembered her name and my fat little face! "Hi, Ms. Fuller, hey big man, you listening to Ms. Daisy?" they would ask. I never forgot those moments or the feeling. So when you walk into GTDR, Holland, Whitney, or myself will greet you with a smile and I (90% of the time) will remember your name. We plan to bring the old-world service to tailoring/alterations in Raleighwood. As stolen from the old SmithBarney commercial:
"We plan to earn your alterations/tailoring business the old-fashioned way by earning it!"
Ciao
